What the Library is

The Nexura Workforce Library documents employer childcare models, public decision tools, and regional workforce initiatives that treat childcare as workforce infrastructure. Entries are organized for evidence review, comparison, and decision-making.

Coverage is based on public sources. Inclusion is editorial rather than sponsored.

Why it exists

Workforce leaders often evaluate childcare challenges using fragmented evidence across employers, regions, and public agencies. The Library consolidates documented examples and tools in a consistent format so prior work can inform new decisions.

What's inside

Three kinds of entries

Each section applies a defined evidence standard.

01

Employer Field Studies

Documented employer responses to workforce-related childcare constraints. Each study follows a common evidence structure: workforce trigger, response, investment or funding, implementation, and reported outcomes.

02

Public Resources

Public tools and guidance from credible organizations, organized by decision stage. The Library ROI Calculator presents its assumptions explicitly.

Who's Doing the Work

Regional workforce initiatives with a named lead organization, defined geography, workforce relevance, and an identifiable public source. Profiles include a Last Verified date.

Selection criteria

Entries must meet the applicable criteria below.

Public documentation
Supported by an identifiable public source maintained by an employer, public agency, credible news outlet, or published report.
Workforce relevance
Connects childcare to labor supply, retention, attendance, recruitment, scheduling, shift coverage, or regional economic development.
Specific implementation
Identifies a named employer or organization, a defined geography, and a documented action, program, tool, or initiative.
Field Study threshold
Documents employer-funded or employer-supported childcare established in response to a workforce need. The current rural Field Study collection excludes backup-care-only arrangements and metro-area programs.

Inclusion reflects documentation and workforce relevance; it carries no quality rating or endorsement.

Public sourcing

Entries are built from publicly available material and link to the underlying source record. Reported outcomes remain attributed to the employer or organization that published them. The Library records source claims rather than independently validating underlying figures.

Third-party resources remain owned and maintained by their original publishers.

Last Verified

A Last Verified date records when an entry was checked against its cited source. It confirms source alignment as of that date. Readers should recheck older entries before relying on current operating details.

Corrections and updates

The Library is revised as source information changes and new evidence becomes available.

Correction
Send the page, disputed statement, and supporting public source. Verified corrections receive an updated Last Verified date.
Program owner update
Program owners may request updated wording, correction, or removal with supporting source material.
New entry
Submit an identifiable public source. Proposed entries follow the same selection criteria.
